The Syllabus of 《Oral English for Shipping》 I. Purpose and Basic Requirements of the Course课程性质、任务和基本要求 This course is especially designed for the college students majoring in International Trade, International Commerce, Shipping Business，Port & Commerce Management,etc., who have studied basic college English for two years and learned some basic courses of shipping, port management, international trade, etc. in Chinese. It provides students with practice of oral English in the business of export and import, the operations of shipping, the rules concerned and so on. Its purpose is to train the students’ skills of speaking, to improve their abilities of communicating with foreign crewmembers during operations. Basic requirements and methods: Students should know well the special terms concerned and talk with partners freely. 《航运英语口语》是针对已学完两年大学基础英语、航运、港口管理、国际贸易等课程的国际贸易、国际商务、外贸运输和港航商务管理专业学生而开设的一门专业基础课。他对该专业的学生进行进出口业务，航运运作业务，相关操作规则等方面的口语训练。 本课程的任务和要求是让学生在熟练掌握航运英语术语的基础上，训练学生的说话技能，提高他们在业务操作中与外员的口语交流能力。 基本要求和方法：应让学生掌握专业英语基本术语，常用口语，能和学习伙伴自由交流。
